Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Bhavya Gandhi recently took to his Instagram account to share a throwback picture with his late father Dhruv Gandhi where he called him his ‘hero’. Check out the picture here
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Tappu aka Bhavya Gandhi lost his father on May 12. His father was tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalised after his condition deteriorated. However, some days later, his father succumbed to the virus, leaving his family in grief and pain. Today, remembering his father, Bhavya recently took to his Instagram account to share a throwback picture with his late father Dhruv Gandhi where he called him his ‘hero’. In the picture, we see the father-son duo well-dressed while posing for the click.
Sharing the picture on his feed, he backed it with ‘Hero’ followed by a heart emoticon. His friends and his fans were in all heart to see the heart-rending photo. A fan wrote, “Fathers are always a hero..” While another one said, “A real hero and always loveable for all, Miss him” Earlier, Bhavya penned a note after his father’s tragic demise on Insta. An excerpt of the note read, “He was, is and always will be the reason for everything great and good in my life. My dad used to take utmost care of himself with or without COVID and COVID still got him." Further, he wrote, "I know wherever you are papa, you are happy."
In an interview with HT, he spoke about his father, saying, “What happened was Covid. It is real and it is bad. And we are still asking why this happened? It has been very difficult. I hope no one else has to go through this. I just want everyone to vaccinated as soon as possible.” His mother Yasodha Gandhi also shared her ordeal with SpotboyE.com after she lost her husband. She narrated the story saying that her husband used to take utmost care and still the virus reached him. Initially, he was asked to stay home quarantine; however, his health deteriorated was admitted to the hospital.
Later, the doctors suggested shifting Bhavya’s father to ICU for better treatment. Fortunately, they got a hospital bed after making around 500 calls to various people. After which he stayed there for 15 days and breathed his last on May 12.
